Remember my dream? The one that involves me in a house? Well this house also involves a lot of appliances. I don't know how I would ever choose my absolute favorite, but here are a few options:
Refrigerators: I love anything that holds my food. I love moving all the drawers around and deciding how I would like to set things up.
Freezers: I love anything that holds my ice and pizza.
Dishwashers: Our dishwasher has been on the blink recently. It has been one of the worst experiences of my life. Philip and I wrote a song about 2 weeks ago entitled "I need you dishwasher" (to be the sung to the tune of "I feel you, Johanna"). Even with our delightful singing efforts, our dishwasher still has not felt the need to restore itself to it's original working condition. We continue to hold out hope.
Washers: With Tide and Downey. I think that Tide and Downey could one day run the world, simply because no one would raise any objections. Would you turn away somebody/something that smells that good?
Dryers: With Dryer sheets. And emptying the lint gives you such a sense of satisfaction.
Vacuums: I have a weakness for vacuums. On break, when I'm not looking at the movies, I look at the vacuums. I love small, large, silent, extension ready, robotic, battery operated, 5 speed, 3 speed, self-emptying, and dyson (which sits above all others) vacuums. I want to try each vacuum out on various floor options, and then decide which one vacuum I can be with for the rest of my life. It's a most important decision.
Microwaves: It can cook your very own baked potato in 5 minutes. Popcorn in 2 1/2. It can warm a large plate of rice in 45 seconds. And a pop tart in 12 seconds. It's the best thing in the world.
Ovens: I don't think I should have to explain my love for ovens. You should love ovens, and you should love them deeply.
Rice Cooker: I cannot live without my rice cooker. Rice in 20 minutes. Yellow rice in 24 minutes. I cannot live without my rice cooker.
The Single Greatest Invention Ever is Appliances.
