I remembered what number 6 was

(refer to the post before "All the President's Men" to understand the title)

6.
I love Stories. I love stories. I don't know how else to say it. I have such an enjoyment for books, plays, and movies. I love stories.

I love reading books. I don't think it's as much as an escapist thing, as much as it is so intensely fascinating to read about something that's not you. I love finding about other people. I love understanding characters. I love trying to figure out what the character is going to do next. I love being surprised by what they do do next. I love the dialog between characters. I love reading other books by the same author and discovering the similarities, and differences. I love being so pulled into a story, that you stay up way later than you should reading by whatever possible light you can get. It's one of the most satisfying feelings in the world. I love reading books.

I love watching plays. I want to live somewhere where I can go to plays on a regular basis. The medium of stage is fascinating to me. Shakespeare, opera, musicals, and classics are really, really cool. I'm dying to see some classics on stage. You can put a book down, you can fast-forward a movie, but on a stage you're stuck. The play lives and breathes on your actors. The actors are everything. The actors alone can make a non-existent stage come to life. The actors can take a not-great script, and make it interesting. How exciting would it be to walk into a play, and be absolutely stunned by the acting? I really want to go see plays. Can you imagine what it would have been like to watch the original Shakespeare plays? Can you imagine what it would have been like to see Lawrence Olivier act in anything on stage? Many movie actors have tried to also try to act on stage, and have been rebuffed. It takes the best kind of actor to carry a stage. I love watching plays.

I love watching movies. I can't help it. I love movies. I freely admit it. I love funny movies. I love serious movies. I love movies that are done so badly you groan. I love movies that are so horrible that you hate them intensely. I love movies where the screenplay is incredible. I love movies with great special effects. I love guilty pleasure movies. I love talking about movies. I love movie marathons-with the right people. I love old movies. I love new movies. I love black and white movies. I love color movies. I love movies with acting so incredible you think about it for days afterwards. I love movies that send a message clearly without being annoying. I love movies that make you want to cry. I love movies that make you laugh hilariously. I love all movies. I don't know how else to say it. I love movies.

What is (my) explanation for why I love all three of these things equally? The story. I love being pulled in by a story. I love being fascinated by conversations, people, skill, and life. I love stories, every kind of story. Give me a story, and I'm happy.

Aren't you glad I couldn't remember number 6 the other day. That would have made for a really long post.

I have also just realized that this equals 11 posts for the month of may. That is as many posts as I had all last year. Just goes to show you what no school can do for you. I love summer.
